Tadpole's Stinson project #2...

Well disregard on that partial Bearhawk project I was looking at...for now at least.

I made an agreement tonight and purchased a Stinson project. I guess I missed the first one I had so much after I sold it, that I needed to get another one. Stay tuned for project updates, but it'll be slow going at first...gotta finish up my last few college classes first. It won't be a quick project, that's for sure. But I'm very happy to get it and save it from never seeing the backcountry again! :D

Re: Tadpole's Stinson project #2...

I see him in either another Stinson, or ya, a 180. Me, I'm just addicted to projects I guess and gives me a way to keep my A&P current. Heck, might have my IA by the time I'm done this round. It was a must this stayed not only in our BCP family, but our local Colorado Stinson gang as well! It's the first Stinson I ever flew and out of the handful I have been in, I've been in this one the most.

No Bushwheels, which is fine....I've at least got the paperwork all done for them when I go that direction later.

RLM, that would be great. I've started making a list of what I need. I know I'll add more too it once I start getting her apart though. Please do let me know what you've got....no hurry though.

Congrats Jason and I'm excited that it will be airworthy once again and not parted out. It will be a good winter project, and after a few upgrades, a fine aircraft for your mission. I look forward to the updates and seeing the rebuild.

So now that you have it...are you going to start working on it before the new year when you originally said you thought you'd have time?...

I think I said shortly after new year. The plan was to be done with college mid-February. With my new job, it's tough to handle full time classes on top of it and the kids, especially in winter. So I'm now down to one class per term and will be done in June (small chance I'll be done in April). But when weather is good, I should be able to get some work done on it. I'm hoping to have the wings in my garage this weekend and I'll start taking them apart.
