Re: The Official 2010 BCP Johnson Creek Pic/Vid Thread

Well, I can't even begin to compete with some of the pics that have been posted here, but here are a few of our trip. Video to come. Due to a bad memory card, we lost a bunch of pics from this trip. I'm pretty bummed about it. :x It was a great week of flying and it was great to see old friends and meet new ones.

Loaded and on our way!

Our first night's stop due to weather. Seeley Lake, one of the highlights of the trip!

Checking out Seeley Lake. Took the fun bus for a ride down for some cheese cake at Lindey's.

Grassstrip, you guys are inspirational! Some people won't even take the whole family to Target because of the logistics involved, you guys make it look easy.

Your itinerary has some great ideas for future trips, I'm taking notes.

Awesome pics. I'd post my pics from the weekend, but they're just of me sitting here at my computer staring at the JC webcam

Thanks Vick. It was great to meet you. We are definately starting to feel the crunch of having 2 kids now. It took some shuffling from my normal loading to make it work. Next year I'm afraid we'll have to start leaving some "nice-to-have" items home. Eventually we're going to need a bigger plane. It's a lot of work, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Any memories of tiredness or thoughts of "what are we doing" (a rare thought) quickly fade and we remember how much fun it was to be there as a family. In fact, I've been sitting here planning our trip in a few weeks to the San Juan Islands. And we can't wait! The only downside is that we don't get to socialize as much as we would like, but that's just where we are right now in life and that's ok. Time will come for more of that later.

Oops! Guess I had better learn to use a photo editing software and start using it. I'm sure it was the lighting.

Read Malcolm Gladwell's latest book. It talks about the development of GLH and a lot of other interesting things.

It's almost harvest time, and I'm going to return it to the top of my head with the help of a little spray adhesive. :)
