Re: Tom's Supercub diet

Were the BW's and Borer prop included in that original empty weight? Did it come with the 3" extended gear it looks like you've got?

With 82" Borer, 0-320, 31's, baby bush, 3" extended gear, extended baggage, assuming starter etc.

My guess: 1135 (hope its lighter :D )

Re: Tom's Supercub diet

The original weight was on 31's 3" gear borer and no spinner

Here are some of my weights

Tail Clean out 13.5 oz
Cf 9.0 -4.5

Under seat storage
Dakota 4lb 7.1 (71.1oz)
Cubcrafters 3lb 2.2 oz
Cf 15.4oz
Cf lid 12.8 oz
Cf 1.76lbs

Seat back 1lb
Stock seat back 5.20
Stock seat springs 1.30lbs

Pulley covers 2.8
Cf 1.8 -1

Spinner w backing plates 2 lb 5.2oz
2.4(just the skull cap) 2lb 2.8

Interior pulley covers 3.1 oz
Cf 1.0 -2.1

1lb 1.4oz

Front floor board
Wood 3 lbs
Cf 2.30 lbs

Rear floor board
Wood 3lbs
Cf 2.30

Stock battery and box 31.20
Oddesy and box 15.70

Atlee headliner 4.70 lbs

So the cf didn't loose a lot of weight, I didn't do the baggage floor yet, as I'm unsure if I'm going to do the 180lb baggage.
It flys completely different. Much lighter in the nose.
It gets off and climbs so much better. Have to re learn how to fly it now.

I can't tell you how much it warms my heart to see that cub in the hands of someone who is enjoying it as much as Don did :D [-o<

Sense this airplane can't talk, I'm going to have to come out sometime and hear all about it. I was talking to Ron, who flew with don and this cub a lot. He has some stories. I still want to know what happened to the left wing. I'm sure there is a good story that goes along with the damage I found.

I think that's a Borer painted to look like a Catto. [emoji6]
