Where did you fly today?
Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Have you landed yet? Taxiway was a little soft due to snow melt. With smaller tires, I'd park it on the rwy.

Rob's photos motivated me to fly to the coast before the rain comes back. Flew out to Nehalem Bay State with some non-flying friends who were happy to contribute gas $, then hoofed it into Manzanita for lunch. For the record its a much shorter walk to take the beach instead of the road like we did on the way in.... Touch and go at Astoria. then Willapa Harbor and then returned home.
-Matt
Busy day, at one point there were 11 planes parked:

Flew into the Bijou Basin area after work to give my new Lightspeed Zulu headsets and good test run. Damn, those things are quiet compared to my David Clark 10.13s. It's going to take some time to relearn hearing different power settings.

Flew the Queen Air up to Houghton MI with my son and three buddies for a day of skiing. When it got dark on the way back my son said he saw flashes of fire comming from the area by the janitrol heater. Got my attention in a hurry until I figured out he was seeing the strobe flashing on the prop!

I saw you, B. I was out at the tip of the cape and watched you take off and double back over Haystack rock. Never considered that I might know the guy. Were you with a trike Cessna?

http://blueiceaviation.posterous.com/ph ... -saw-todayThis was a good day. I put a few hours on the old girl, and we went everywhere from Palmer to the foothills of the Alaska Range, up and over the Chugach Mts. and the Talkeetnas. Right at 7 hours I think. This warm weather, and slightly longer days makes it that much more fun.

Yep that was me! I did fly in with a 172 he took off before me though. I was up on that rock about 40 min prior to taking off....gosh what a small world! Did you see the rescue team run out there? I guess someone got stuck because they didn't pay attention to the incoming tide!
I wish we could have met up, its a real bummer. But now you know what I look like...you can't miss me with the new paint job!

I did see the rescue team, I was in the Pelican eating lunch at the time. Talk about a huge response...

I'm trying guys, I really am. I just can't figure out how to post a picture in here. I've read the help section and if I put in the address to where this image is held on my blog then it just leaves a link to my blog. I want the picture to show up right here so you don't have to leave to view it. Sorry for posting a question in a forum ... I'm no good at forums, too many buttons, that's why I fly a cub.
