I spent the last few days re-rigging my wheel skis ( to fit my new Roberts Cub style landing gear) in between doing other stuff. To do this I need to elevate the tail to simulate the AOA in flight, while I have the mains jacked up. So, the whole airplane is elevated.
Long story short: I got all done, and had about an hour left of daylight to make my first ski flight of the year. I started cleaning up the hangar while the pre heater was doing it's thing, and that's when I noticed: Somewhere in all the excitement of re-rigging the skis to the new gear, I had failed to LOWER the tail to simulate the taxing attitude, so once I did let the tail down, the ass end of the skis were rubbing on the floor

Not a huge deal, another hour or so, and a few more nico press swedges, and I'll be good to go. I figure every hour spent working on the plane pays huge dividends in flying time, and that includes screwups.
