Probably my last flight in our Champ. Looks like I have it sold. Moved it to a strip 40 miles south so it wouldn’t get snowed in. It’s heading to Georgia, so flying it out on skis really isn’t an option. A couple of photos from the flight.

Kind of sad to be honest, we have had a lot of fun in this little plane. Of course no money has changed hands yet, so it could still go to crap, although I don’t think that will happen.

That topography seems otherworldly after living in the Midwest for 4 years. Beautiful!

We finally got a weather upgrade from Limited IFR to Marginal VFR so I took my plane up to warm the engine and circulate the oil. I didn't go anywhere, I just stayed in the neighborhood and enjoyed being off of the ground.

I flew to the San Juan Islands for breakfast yesterday since we had a great, clear winter's day. That's not a backcountry flight, so no pictures of the islands are offered, but I did catch this shot of Mount Rainier with the silhouette of the Seattle skyline on the way home. The Seattle skyline is very feint, just a blue/grey smudge at the base of the mountain poking up into the smog layer.

Not today, but last week. Finally got to get my 7ECA from Casper to Northern, NY.



Currently in Argyle, NY, about 40 miles from home waiting for the snow to melt at our strip (probably early April) and do some minor maintenance.
