Woah that's pretty good. Where did you get this?
My only comment on new foreflight features is I hope they keep it simple and intuitive. I'm good with technology but so many apps now have become overloaded with features to the point that it takes a lot of time just to figure out how to use them.

I'd like to be able to enter/see coordinates in degrees minutes seconds and degrees decimal minutes, not just decimal degrees. It would also be helpful to be able to change geodetic datums.

I have had the opportunity to use several different flight apps on three different continents. Foreflight is my favorite. The display is crisp and user friendly.
Some of the other apps I have used are so overloaded with features you get lost in the program. Most importantly I want the app to work and function properly. I worry if they overload the app with every gee wiz feature it will affect the user friendliness of the program.
So my request, that they keep the app user friendly with solid programming that does not crash.

I'm aware of this but have never used it. Do you use it for flight planning? During the flight? How do you use it?
Thanks
I use the Garmin-Pilot flight path "sliding pointer" to check airspace etc.
before the flight.
ForeFlight has a "sliding pointer" for terrain which is great (especially in Alaska). If the ForeFlight Team could add more widgets to the "terrain sliding pointer" that would be great for us.
Also, more precise map overlays. Layering the different maps in Gamin-Pilot is neat.
Thank you Phil !

https://www.backcountrypilot.org/images ... 1b6828.jpgThey have a really neat way to create a slide using two fingers that will give good info such as distance and other. It would be even cooler if it measured in feet instead of NAutical miles (NM). This would allow measuring smaller distances like little grass fields and dirt roads

Some sort of battery saver mode that would display the instruments (track, ground speed, etc. that's listed on the bottom of the map) and nothing else. Also have the capability to display those numbers on the home screen if you have your phone on standby and just click it on to check.

I'd like to have a base map that's computed from a terrain and aviation database, not just a sectional. Something like I see on the Garmin 296. I want far better terrain display. I've looked over many apps for iPads and Android tablets and all of them just seem to use the sectionals. Convenient for them, I suppose, but not the most useful.

How about the ability to change the color of the "own ship" symbol? I've sometimes found it difficult to see the blue against some chart backgrounds. I would like to change it to red or orange when displayed over a green or blue chart.

I'd like to see performance calculations (takeoff and landing distances specifically) tied into the altimeter/temperature/wind for the airport or nearest awos. User inputs weight and/or tie it into the c/g calculator they have.

Traditional breadcrumbs is the biggest thing I would like. Being able to download it to FF.com isn't too useful, when what I really want is to follow the same route back and all I have is my iPad without an Internet connection.

I put this on the developers wish list last spring. Seems this is a logical next step after W&B. Of course with a big disclaimer. It already has all the info regarding airport length, WX, DA, etc it needs. This would be a great tool to have I think.

I'd like to be able to:
1) Add and share my own airport information so that friends would be able to easily add my strip to the database
2) Add and share maps. This would necessitate a map builder tool of some sort to geotag maps.

There is a difference between 0 and null. I wish their programmers knew that.
On the map, Sky Clear has the same visual indication as "we can't download that data yet for who knows what reason"
It may be overcast 200 feet but they still show sky clear (no indication) and that makes me not trust any of the data.
Garmin got it right with their digital maps. Not a VFR sectional, not a street view and not a terrain view but the stuff that matters: Airports and airspace.
I end up using ForeFlight for flight planning and weather checking but Garmin enroute.

I use ForeFlight and I find it really easy to use without having to study the "how to" manuals(s) My number one wish is that it remains intuitive and easy to use as it is upgraded.
Also, integrate a checklist into the basic ForeFlight module and do away with the stand alone checklist. Seems to make a great deal of sense to me.

I can do all of my flight planning checks thru Foreflight except weather cameras.
A. It would be awesome if FAA weather cameras in AK were available thru Foreflight..
http://avcams.faa.govB. It would be great if Canadian weather cameras were available thru Foreflight.
