I don't know why I didn't think of that... But I will now, will also slap it on the back of the baggage bulkhead as Greg mentioned too. What are you guys using to attach the foam? Thanks for the feedback!

I used spray cans of 3M Super Trim Adhesive. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/e ... l&MDR=true
On the ceilings along with the spray I also used 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive zigzagged across to have a better hold. http://www.shop3m.com/3m-yellow-super-w ... fl-oz.html
I think Greg used some other stuff that is supposed to be better but it's not available in California. Both of the 3M products I mentioned are available at some auto parts stores.

182 Interior Madness

This is the stuffImage

Pretty much the standard in aviation interiors

We would usually spray it on and treat it like contact cement, both surfaces mostly tack free then stick em together.

Re: 182 Interior Madness

Seats are due next week (hopefully), they are sodablasted, painted, bladders installed, and foam trimmed. Just need the leather completed.

In the meanwhile I switched out my ghetto door hinge pins.

Here is a pic of what I replaced, with the new pin on the top.

Yep they are. They are probably a little over priced for what they are... but I just wanted to go the pre-made route.

Re: 182 Interior Madness

corefile I have to admit I have a smile on my face, as I know Greg and others do, watching you go through what we went through. For me it was just "let's refurb those hideous yokes". And then the parts just started flying out of the Wagon. And I'm at it again with a bunch of new mods. It looks like you are enjoying it and have the right attitude, do it right. It hurts now but in a year you'll forget all about that and love your new plane. It's looking great.

Last night after replacing those door hinge pins I was sitting there staring at my different colored yokes thinking... damn I really need to refurbish those!

Re: 182 Interior Madness

Some pics of my seat progress. Can't wait to get them finished up, going to be like night and day from my old seats.

New vertically adjustable seats with the bladders:

Pilot and Co-pilot seats with new foam:

Getting closer to getting this wrapped up and back in the air.

Re: 182 Interior Madness

Seats look awesome. It appears you decided against the pocket on the seat front? Any particular reason?
Thanks,

Re: 182 Interior Madness

Nice!

Looks like everyone is getting a lot of mileage out of my artwork. I hand made that CESSNA logo from an old Cessna manual from the 50's for my C170. Gave it to Ron for everyone to use... Im glad to see it on so many seats. He has a SKYWAGON I did also if anyone is looking.

Keep up the good work!

Yeah I decided against it because I was worried about it interfering with the two seat adjustments, not sure if it would have or not, but decided to play it safe. But I hope someone does it so we can see how it turns out.

Ron over at http://www.aviationscreations.com is the one doing the work. Can't wait to see them in person, they are on the UPS truck.
