the price of car gas has come down almost $1.00 a gallon in the past few months, but avgas hasn't dropped a dime yet, still $5.85 last week.
My mistake, it is down a dime, I just checked and it's $5.75

Gravity Strikes Again.
About a buck a pound. It would be interesting to know which other commodities pencil out like that.

Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.
It's $5.45 in Hood River, Or. Ethanol free 91 is $3
Funny the cost of auto fuel is down $1 per gallon but avgas is only down 50 cents. The local FBO said the price of avgas has gone lower but we will have to wait till the next fuel order is received to see the change at the pump.

$5.75 at KLGU a week ago. For some reason we're more expensive than most airports around here.

According to Foreflight, it's 5.39 at GXY and 5.69 at Fort Collins Loveland. The least expensive in this area is 4.79 at Platte Valley and 4.96 at Rocky Mountain (Jeffco).

$4.20 in Llano (KAQO). $4.75 at my home airport (88R).
Can't wait to see what the unleaded fuel will cost when it's ready. At least a $1.50 more a gallon I'm betting.

Varies a lot locally (Reno-Tahoe) as you might imagine. Yerington is cheapest around here at $4.79/gal.

I sat in on a briefing on this with some researchers (NRC) and pilot groups a few weeks ago. I'd say you're in the ballpark.
I have a steady supply of no-ethanol 91 and 94 mogas, so I could give a hoot where avgas goes.

I talked to a fuel distributor that supplies fuel along the Canadian portion of the Alaska hwy. He told me that they have been legislated that by 2017 all car gas must contain ethanol. I do not know if is true or not but it is pretty scary if it is the truth.

And $4.99 at Longmont (KLMO) - not sure what mogas is going for - haven't filled up in a little while.

Mogas at KLMO is still $4.95, ethanol free - I'm looking forward to flying as much as possible for a few weeks over winter break.

Can't speak for Canada but this isn't quite true for the US. There are increasing blending requirements though. The EPA originally required 7.5 billion gallons of renewable fuel (ethanol for gasoline) to be blended into gasoline by 2012, and it will be 36 billion gallons by 2022. While the effects remain to be seen in theory we will still be able to buy ethanol-free fuel if there is still demand for the product.
