Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

Here's the new 150. Pretty much the cheapest thing I could find. I'm really happy that this one is 60 lbs lighter than my 150J was. Useable weight is 551 lbs compared to 491 for the one I just sold. Seems to do OK even without the climb prop. It's 10 kts faster too, cruise is around 98 kts. Has about 40 hrs on new cylinders and prop rebuild. Engine is just past TBO on a factory reman engine. I'm going to get an oil test off tomorrow. It already has a 6" tire but it's a 15 X 6.00-6. It's not much taller than the 5" but it is a lot fatter. A regular 6:00 is about 2" taller than this one. The heavy duty fork came with the plane new, and it is NOT the same as the 206/310 fork. It's about 1 1/2 inch shorter than the 206 fork but a lot wider than the standard 150 fork. Feels like you guys are right about the straight tail, I was slipping it landing in Beaver and you can really slip it sideways. Gas is $4.99 there too. I'm too dumb to post pictures so here's a link:

I had one of those little Edo radios. It was my primary comm because the Narco Comm 120 fried output transistors about every other flight. Looks like a nice little bird.

You just need a few more horses up front. a O-360 makes a world of difference =D>

Nice shot Chris...must say that having looked at your bird closely, it is one heck of a nice bird on TW! You spending the winter up north?

Always! This is HOME!

Have to get over your way again someday soon. Really enjoyed my trips through Whitehorse, need to get the family over for a visit.

Nice plane Randy. Great photo. Only thing that would make it better is a Rans S-6 next to it. OH wait, there was one. :D
