Well I can finally join the club. Picked this 7ECA up on Friday. 1400 TT, Recent fabric. A great flier and extremely well taken care of. I apologize for the cell phone picture quality.

Here' the new ride! Not a tail dragger but she'll get in and out short. Its a big step from the C150, seems to burn a little more fuel though.

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

I can't wait to see what it will do, I've heard nothing but good things about the Sportsman. If half of it is true I'll probably be happy.

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

Plane looks great Rob! What ended up being the issue with the Clevelands not fitting on the first go?

Here you are spending money on cool stuff and I'm spending money on repairing a bum magneto that has been giving me trouble. :( I'll bet the Sportsman will be an awesome addition.

Wup sent me a new torque plate that rotated the caliper out of the way so it would clear the gear. Only problem is now I might have to get a spacer to go in between the brake disk and wheel so I have more clearance from the side wall of the tire. With late model 170 gear or 180 gear this would be a non issue as you could use the standard torque plates.

Lookin Good.Your Going to like that Sportsman, best mod I did to my 170.Not only will it perform better ,it makes it a lot safer airplane .You will notice a big difference.Where are you having it installed?
I have wheel spacers that I picked up at Stoddards in Anchorage . I had to use them with the single pucks and 8.50 goodyears
