Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

My new M5-235. Bought it in November in Salt Lake City.
Mountain Matt, I hope I wasn't one of the spoilers in your search for a Maule. The timing was close.

Played a little with a husky around the salt lake before heading home.

A familiar place for many around here. We dropped in on the way home and had a good visit with Rod.

That plane was my hangar next-door neighbor!! Damon told me he was considering selling it one day and the next time I peeked over there the place was cleaned out- Man times have changed in aviation...we had a 5 year waiting list on hangars at KSLC and now both hangars to my sides are empty and many more. Hope you enjoy that thing.

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

Ok everyone, I may not be the quickest study but I finally figured out how to upload photos so I thought this thread would be a great one to start with.

Let me just say this picture was taken by one of the previous owners either Bob Elliott or Ken Moon (so exactly where it is I can't say). I bought the plane this past April and immediately fell in love with it. This plane has a long history in Alaska, and while we did bring it back to South Dakota it will be making many more trips back to Alaska.

Kenn's a friend of mine. Did you know that photo was taken by Don Sheldon's Mountain House?

Have fun,

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

I did not know that, that's cool. You'll have to ask Ken about how I tried to kill him when he started my tail wheel endorsement. I just about made a ball of metal on my first takeoff run. If it weren't for Ken's skill I probably would have immediately tested my insurance. But thanks to Ken, Hiedi and Rick Reuse I got through it and have just about 100 hrs in N91393.

Thanks. It has the 100 horse Rotax 912ULS.
Spent a little over an hour today working with my instructor getting friendly with the little wheel in the back.
What a fun plane to fly. Weird to be a student again but I'm loving the challenge. Can't wait until he cuts me loose to play on my own. Easy to see why these S-7's are so popular
