Looks like that photo should be on a backcountry calendar. Beautiful.

With all the great photos / photographers here, I wonder why a calendar hasn't been done?

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

Thanks guys for the nice comments. Whee you are correct it is "Upper Loon"! I was camping last year and snapped the photo right at sunrise. I am no "Alex" or "BRD", just the right moment and I was armed w/ my little Cannon S110.

I just purchased this 1980 180K yesterday so can do some things to the 54 180 and not be out of the air forever---Hopefully.

Because I always forget until it's too late in the year to make the november sale window. Then we need to have a contest for photo submissions. Then I always think "this is taking a lot of time to manage, I should sell advertising for it." Then I give up because I'm too busy at my job.

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

I hadn’t been to “Church” for a while, so I wanted to go with Romeo Whiskey somewhere special on Memorial Day. I’ve got about 15 hours on it now and done a few of the home school strips for practice. First Backcountry landing in it, had a great time exploring some of the things I hadn’t seen before and came away renewed!

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

Adding a few pics. 1979 A185F & 1947 Aeronca L-16(pictured at Oshkosh) that I am fortunate enough to fly! Two very very fun airplanes! I did all my initial training in the “champ”. Try to get time up in both as as often as time allows. I do get to fly the glider clubs towplane semi-regularly. 1970 182N also a very fun and solid airplane!
