SQ2'n to Alaska

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: SQ2'n to Alaska

Thanks Dieter and Rod. Know how far I'd like to get tomorrow but don't want a repeat of today, so will check the Wx in the morning and play it by ear. I'll let you guys know here.

And thanks everyone for the kind words/thoughts. And thanks MTV for the time we had in Bozeman. Crap, forgot to pay you for the oil, I'll get that to you once I'm home in Alaska (that has a cool sound to it).

See everyone in the morning.

No worries Phil. Great visit and a very interesting airplane. Glad you were able to slide through here and visit.

I hope it's Happy Gas that's serving you in GP. Best FBO I've found in Western Canada. Reasonable prices, nice courtesy vans, and the kind of friendly service I'm used to getting almost everywhere in the US.

It is Happy Gas, she stayed late to get me in the hangar and pushed the SQ2 in the hangar herself while I stayed in the cockpit to keep it from flying. That is excellent service.

Re: SQ2'n to Alaska

I gotta laugh at myself. I'm so used to flying low in the SQ2 it never dawned on me to check the winds aloft and take her high. Never been this high in the SQ2 before. Thanks for waking me up Dieter, much better up here.

Re: SQ2'n to Alaska

I hope you have the time soon after arriving to put captions to the pics. I think I recognize some of them, even into Canada, but not sure. Anyway, I'm enjoying your trip!
