SQ2'n to Alaska

SQ2'n to Alaska

This is awesome! I'm on the night shift this week so I've been neglecting the forum. Following this today is fantastic. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and enjoy all the environmental changes along the way. Stop to see those Canada guys if possible. Missing them was the biggest regret of my trips up/down.

Made it to Grand Prairie ten minutes before a thunderstorm. 30 gusting to 40. That's sporty with a plane that flys at 25. She's in a hangar and I whipped once again. Off to dinner and then figure out what tomorrow's plan is.

Glad you made it in! I was wondering how the weather would be, it got super gusty here in the last couple hrs.
I thought maybe my shift would change and I was going to call you, but been going since 4 am, just stopped for a quick supper and back in the tractor. Sorry again, would've been great to meet you and check out that plane!

Just means you have to come again Brett! I was hoping to put Phil up for the night, but I've been on nightshift/dayshift/longshift... farming. Ha.

Re: SQ2'n to Alaska

No problem. Appreciate the thought. Made it into a hangar in the nick of time. Kinda weird taxing at walking speed and see 45 mph airspeed.

Re: SQ2'n to Alaska

Phil,

We have a guest room ready for you in Ft. Nelson tomorrow night if you are interested. Likely find something to throw on the grill and a cold beverage as well.

I was just up dusting off the Glasair III for the first time this year a few minutes ago. 40 to 50 miles vis. in smoke. A bit of convective buildup to the south and east of here tonight.

I am planning to head north to Carcross, Yukon on Thursday evening with a 182. A couple days behind your schedule, or I would travel up with you.
