SQ2'n to Alaska

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: SQ2'n to Alaska

I've got a bunch of pictures I took between Ft Nelson and Watson Lake where I had no cell service. Will post them later.

SQ2'n to Alaska

Neat to see that area when not inside of a snow storm with eyes glued to the road below. Beautiful.

SQ2'n to Alaska

Couple of those photos look like Teslin Lake. For some reason this was always my favorite scenery of the trip. Of course, I've always lucked out with CAVU days through there. Looks like you had at least a little cloud cover to contend with. You're making great progress. Thanks again for sharing. Following your trip has been the best part of the last coup,e days. Stay safe.

Re: SQ2'n to Alaska

Thanks for the inspiration. I'm getting the 185 put together. Engine is nearly in.

I plan to spend the second week of June in the Yukon. Watson, Atlin, Whitehorse, Kluane, Dawson City are all on the list. Probably won't get my amphibs on in time, so I'll be on wheels.

Re: SQ2'n to Alaska

Well looks like I get to see more of Whitehorse, Northway is IFR forecast all day tomorrow. Well, I already rode in the elevator with Tony Beets and his wife. Who knows who else I'll meet.
