Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Just food for thought,… when you drop in on Idaho, leave a donation!
I'm sure Butch and Rob have and idea what I mean.
If they don't, well….

Re: Where did you fly today?

I knew that…..
Sorry about the Gay tires comment…. hopefully you get it :)
However, I do question you hanging out with that Burson fellow.
Might have to keep you after class for a few questions :)
Something, I'm sure, that could be worked out over some Irish Whiskey and Cuban Cigars :)

For everybody else…. leave donations!…. Big donations!
The alternative isn't good!

Re: Where did you fly today?

[quote="SkyTruck"]Those Maule's with the "Fat" tires, looks pretty "Gay" sitting in front of whatever they are sitting in front of.
Do they help getting into that 1000' (3400' @ jcrick) strip with showers and wireless internet? Or Free firewood and fresh brewed coffee.
It's time for a self check.
Is this forum here for bragging rites or simply just to see yourself posting something?
Shit, I saw a Bonanza at J-Creek last year, and a MilkStool the year before.
God bless all you folks that pay into the BackCountry bullshit, but flying into Johnson Creek. or Indian Creek, or Thomas creek, or…. isn't rocket science!
You don't need all the "Bushwheel" bullshit. Just bring your "A" Game and have a good time.
Don't forget to leave a few dollars in the donation "Slot" because, if you don't, the Idaho BackCountry will be a thing of the past!

I know. Skalywag beat me to it. (;
But here's one of my shots. Really fun day. Rare to have 2 other wagons to fly with and such a beautiful.
Why is it my tires seem to get smaller the longer I have them...(;

Mark I have never met you. We probably should meet face to face. You obviously have been told by the guys on the BravoCharlieAlfaHotel site who and what I am. You need to meet me and judge for yourself. Side note I came up with the name for BravoCharlieAlfaHotel.

I will assume your joking and I dearly love practical jokes. But if your going to shoot you need to be a target too. So lets see your pics of your plane at say Simonds, Mile High, Dewey Moore, Vines.
You might have heard of a place called Simonds, or seen pictures of it.
Me at Simonds two guys, 30 gallonds of fuel in a STOCK! 235HP Maule M7, That means no wing extensions, no Pponk 300HP, no MT prop, and no turbo.
Image
I use the 29s for SoCal and 35s for Idaho.
Image
As four the "Bushwheel bullshit" quip
I have 35s so when I land and there is a tree across the strip I can run over it.
I'm not bragging because I'm not a super pilot. But if you try to run over that tree with 8:50s your not flying out!!!!!

Re: Where did you fly today?

hey Zane, actually am switching back and forth between my little Sony NEX-5 (which I use when flying by myself) and a massive brick of an SLR, - older Canon 1D MKII with the 24-105 and 70-200 L series lenses. Friend of mine has moved on to a new Leica M so this back-up cam is left in the hangar in case I want to use it. 8) Sure!! I grab the beast and lug it along when I have somebody else to do the flying.
