Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Just some local goofing around. A few touch and gos on the ranch, some low level over the river, and out to the dunes.

Great video RP. I bet those new Bushwheels throw the cow shit quite effectively! Looks good!

On a side note, I need to get a "real" pre heater. How long is a typical pre-heat with that fire breather?

Crzyivan13 - have fun accessorizing your new ride!

BRD - I used to fly the single and twin Seabee and they were a lot of fun.

:D Believe it or not, we manage to jam 5 planes in that little hut. Keeps a guy on his toes to avoid any hangar rash! Also gives me a good incentive to fly regularly, so my plane stays at the front of the lineup.

Evan, my preheat depends a lot on temp. If it's 0 or below, I usually leave the fire on for 15-20 minutes, then try to make myself let the plane sit for another 15-20 to let the heat distribute through the engine. Between 10 and 30 degrees, I usually do about 10 and 10. I put a blanket over the cowl and leave one side of the intake open when the fire is on, then I cover it completely to let the temps normalize..

Things are warming up but no real sign of thawing out on the rivers and lakes yet. I think early May most likely.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Nice Diana, thankyou for the post.
To all who go to the considerable effort to create these clips as a labour of love, to give us all a look into their aviation lives ,
" thankyou!"
Maybe we could have a best video for the season; spring, summer, autumn (fall),winter, comp. The winner gets a pullover or cap from BCP, just a thought because there is considerable talent displayed on the site.
