I always dread that moment when I am fully committed to a new off airport landing site, and I put it off as long as possible, using the excuse of "checking it over one more time". A lot of the slopes I land preclude a prior running of the wheels along the surface, that could cause more problems then it'd be worth. BUT, when the final decision to land a new place is made, the last notch of flaps engaged, and the plane sinks below the last go round spot and now the landing MUST be made, is a deeply satisfying thrill like no other. Followed by the silence when shut down, getting out and going "wow, that was cool". I've never had that feeling at an airport. That looks like a good spot to play in!
