I flew my wife and dog up to Lake Champlain in Vermont over the weekend. We landed on the grass strip at the Basin Harbor Club and "camped" in one of their cabins. That is one NICE place! Here are some shots of the trip up:
I keep my plane at an airpark about 90 minutes from home. It was the closest affordable grass strip for me. That arrangement has to change!

I flew over the Shenandoah River on my way to Manassas Regional Airport (KHEF) where I staged the plane for this trip. That is only 15 minutes from home.

Then we flew over Lake Marburg in PA

Lake George in NY

And finally arrived at Basin Harbor. Thie grass strip shows up between my struts. The white spec down there is a Seneca from Connecticut.

Here's the cabin we rented:

Old Adirondack chairs are scattered all over the property

The harbor has some pretty big boats in it

Our dog wasn't too excited about the trip home
