Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Today I flew on the airlines from Denver back to SLO, actually still waiting for my connection flight in LA, but here are some pictures from a nice hop over the continental divide a couple days ago:ImageImageImageImage The Pacer was loving that high pressure, cold air. Practically no wind up there, a beautiful day!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Had a great late afternoon flight around the local area today. Thick air, 20,000' overcast and calm winds made for some good sightseeing. Sorry about the crapy iphone pics, but its better than nothin!

I finally dropped into this tight local canyon.
It was worth the wait.

Very nice S-12! I love that over the shoulder shot. Made me feel like I was riding along in the back seat. Also made me want to go borrow my buddy's S-7 and take it for a spin!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Was planning to head down to Page or Bullfrog since I had not been down that way yet, but it was nothing but fog #-o . So instead, went out to learn the canyons to the west and north and dropped into Bryce for some fuel.

Overall, a calm, beautiful day. Dropped into a couple canyons for some practice, but was a little busy for picture taking [-o<

Another great video Charlie, thanks.

Much of that is the Rabbit Valley / Westwater OHV area. Arguably some of the best single track in the area.
There is a ton of primo single track near Mack with many more MTB only trails than Moab.
Some of that video was over the Kokopelli trail that links Fruita/Loma to Moab. The first dirt road landing on the video was on a section of the trail.

Rob,

Terrific job capturing that sunset! Those are some beautiful pics that really highlight the colors. For the first time I have a quality camera, and I have no idea how to use it to get photos that capture color or scenes as good as this.

Thanks Bret, believe it or not those pictures were taken with my iPhone 6+. The only editing I did was click on the auto enhance button.

Nice pics!

Most are familiar with the big GM recall regarding ignition switches turning off. A major player in those incidences, and the fix, surrounds weight/moment of swinging mass attached to the keychain. Think about encountering some unexpected turbulence, what may happen to yours? I suggest possibly the key turning to off, or bumping master switch off, or...

I actually experienced, in an open air flying machine, some unexpected high g forces. The ignition switch had positive detents, there were six keys on the ring. Not only did the switch turn off  but the keys came out of the switch.  Gone. [-o<

Something to think about.
