We had a great time and enjoyed meeting everyone.

Hi Wayne, sorry I couldn't remember your name. I do remember your plane. A real nice one. Glad you had a good time out here.

Cheers...Rob

That is a Howard. Very well restored, I might add. I believe the model is a DGA (Damn Good Airplane), but someone with more knowledge can correct me if I'm wrong. It is a beautiful aircraft, that is for sure.

I wonder if the guy mentioned in the last post is the fellow that showed up at JC?

Howard DGA-15, there have been 3 of them restored by a friend of ours across the runway. He is currently restoring a model 8 and building another model 8 from scratch using the original as reference.

Rob,

Thanks for posting that pic of Adam and me. He was so tired and finally crashed for a nap. I remember seeing you with your camera, but didn't know if you took a pic or not. Thanks for posting it so I could download it. Youngest one there two years running. Unfortunately he'll be beat out by his little sister/brother next year...once he or she arrives on scene in November. Two should really keep Dee and me hopping. We'll make sure to camp on the far north end so we don't annoy the neighbors or keep them up.

Pics and trip report to be posted in the next few days.

Glad you made it home safe Mark. I'm looking forward to seeing some pics/video from you. Hey, if you have a minute, pm me your number. I'd love to hear about the rest of your time there...especially how it went with Lori. I kept checking the cam and wished that we were still up there with you. We'll have to do some more flying together. I really enjoyed the little we did. I have to work on being a better point man though. :D

Corey,
We had a great time with you as well. I tried to send a message to you but it seems to be caught in my outbox. I'll try again later.
What a wonderful place! I already have vacation days on the calendar for next year. June 24-July 5th. Can't wait!

Thanks.
I think I'm gonna start a thread called 2009 BCP Fly-In Reports, Videos, and Photos. I'll move this video there as a start to the thread.

Re: 06/26/2009 - Annual BCP Summer Fly-in - Johnson Creek, ID

For two years in a row, I've done the same thing, flew into JC for the Supercub.org fly-in with the intention of staying the week and hitting the BCP fly-in the following weekend, and both years I've ending up missing the BCP fly-in. After a few days of camping, I come up with an excuse to run down to Boise for something or other, then end up getting involved with something else, and don't make it back. I'm going on record right now, come hell or high water, I'm gonna be there next year. This just sounds like too much fun. I'm a sorry sack of $#!+ for missing this year, but it won't happen again.....
