Joe,

I agree ! Great time, from what I can remember...

You might want to send MR Scouts liver back asap. If he has to fly up to get it, the CoCo is going to get nervous...

Joe,
My thanks to you and your family for putting on one great show. If you fellow BCP's like entertainment non stop by a group of people with endless energy put next years Austin flyin on your calendar. Coyote Ugly ( Joes Dad) even did his dance and whistle routine and next year a mandolin will be added to the show.
Great Fun!

I can't thank everyone enough for such a great weekend/fly-in. I had an absolute hoot and enjoyed everyone very much. You all made this the best fly-in we've had., and by far the largest.. The Lions fed somewhere over 175 people, compared to 70 last year. I'm still gathering pictures, as I didn't take too many myself, but I'll post some here soon too.

There has been a very interesting development here. The one County Commissioner that had been the biggest opponent against installation of a fueling system here at Austin, took the time to come down and attend the fly-in. He was so impressed by the numbers of aircraft and attendees, that he is now working with the other Commissioners, and we will have Fuel here for next years event. A Card Lock/Self Serve Fuel System is coming to Austin....

Lions Club members were all extremely happy too, with the event, and the income that they made, and are already planning for next year, with more food..

I kinda wish I could have gotten in more flying events, the little threatning rain kinda delayed this, but maybe everyone, on the other hand, is really just happy to just spend time together.. What is your input?? More flying events, or ok the way it turned out??? Myself, I'd like to fly all day.... but...

I kinda wish I could have gotten CoCo's chute to open too, but.... next year..

Thank You everyone... your the best, each and everyone of you... Ya'll come back now hear????

Joe,

IMHO, you had about the right mix of events. Of course the Breezy was a big hit and CoCo and Shirley did their part as well.

Saturday morning another AH and myself flew down to Berlin and walked up the hill to tour the mine etc., flew back to Smith Creek Valley Hot Springs for a dip. Got back in time to enjoy that amazing BBQ in the old air tank. I'll tell ya' right now, I thought Chili was on a mission to burn every chunk of wood you had, which was substantial.

It works out pretty well that people can sorta' do their own thing Saturday am then gorge themselves on the awesome BBQ, take a nap, then gear up for the evening festivities. Now that we'll have fuel, (nice job !) we can play even more.

Heck, why mess with success ? ! :D

Pictures!!! I want pictures. I couldn't make it this year but will definitely make next year. Congrats on the fuel. That makes you another option for us San Diego Pilots on the way to JC every summer. Now it's Tonopah, Battle Mtn and into JC. and that's it. Austin makes for other possibilities. Good goin!!

The bowling ball drop was one of a kind. There is nowhere in the country where you can have that much fun.

Thanks again Joe. I am planning to go next year.
