It is better to be late in this world, than early in the next.

Little video from a buddy showing Austin, Berlin and more... ;-)

Well, everyone is in the clear, the DNA tests came back on CoCo's stains, and it was his own DNA, so it seems that during the freefall he was a little more scared than we all realized...

Whew,

That's good news for MR Scout as he already has a paternity test result that may come back to haunt him, he really doesn't need another scandal like the whole Ziggy thing... ;-)

On a very sad note, I am sorry to say that my very good friend Jerry Utter passed away last night in Reno Nevada, of liver cancer. As you may remember, he was last years winner of the spot landing contest, and was there as much as he could possibly be this year. He was the ramrod of the pit Bar-BQ, but wore himself out and was unable to try to defend his title. He loved this little L-4 almost as much as he loved his wife Gail, and came by that love honestly, as his dad Chug Utter was one of the great aircraft mustangers. I for one am going to really miss this guy, and can't really imagine life around here without him.

Darn it Joe, that it sad news. Having just met Jerry this year, I was impressed with the work he was doing with the water truck and the BBQ. We chatted briefly about cooking in dutch ovens and you could tell he loved to cook. I'm trying to remember the dutch oven recipe he told me about. I think it was pineapple upside down cake ??? I know he'll be missed around Austin. Great Guy, great personality. You could talk to him for a couple of minutes and it seemed like you had known him forever.

Best wishes and prayers go out to his family.

Hey Joe,
Great PR! and now for the big question! Are you getting the gas credit card pump? Strike while the iron is hot!

Gas is still in the works, I'm not having a lot of luck in getting quotes, we started out with quotes on 5000 gal tanks, and price was too high, so started lookin for 2000 gallon (2) and not a lot of luck yet, getting quotes back, but squeeky wheel gets the grease right??

Joe,
Would an email campaign to anyone gets some grease on that squeaky wheel?
Sometimes there is power in numbers. If enough support can be mustered up from the BCP, Maule, Cub, BCAH, sites would it help?

I think we're on track pretty good, seems the commissioners are on our side right now, and supposed to be some bids coming in. There's pretty good odds on this going through at this point I think. The last fly-in was the best thing that could have possibly happened.

If things change, you'll hear the cry for help.... I guarantee...

Thank You...
