Need to do something about my flaps. The Keller Flaps are notorious for poor retraction. Tearing into them now then family vacation for 10 days. Thinking its a bell crank issue but not certain until we get into them. Gonna get a larger flap handle and tighten the cables as well but they already seem tight so we will see. The issue is blow back. On the ground static they are great. Once airborne at 25mph at full deflection they are only showing about 10 degrees or so of flaps deployed. No different that the 1st notch.
Anyhow the brd flies incredibly slow. I cannot imagine how she is going to fly with full flaps as advertised by these big Kellers. Heres a 22mph touchdown with me at 225, my back seat pax at 180, 20g of fuel on board, 8700' DA and 84 degrees hot! Its not as rough as it looks. The camera man had one had on his iPhone. Its uphill and fairly rough but not really. Stable approach at 27-30mph then touch down at 22mph. Look at the tape on a big screen. Its nuts! Steam gage Airspeed does not even register. The speed was also confirmed on my Garmin VIRB. 22mph
Anyhow, here are a few videos
