The Atlee Dodge seats are easily adjusted fore and aft a good ways. Actually fairly comfortable, at least as airplane back seats go.

Talk to anyone who's landed in the water in an accident, and they'll tell you that just getting out of the plane is task enough....trying to also retrieve a seat cushion.....probably not going to happen. FWIW it could be moved up to about 7" further aft, but you'd have to:
1) remove the stop screw from the (tubular) side rail, &
2) drill another hole for the locking-pin in the Cessna style seat rail.
hotrod180 wrote:As I recall, the bench seats in my 170 & 180 had the leading edge just about even with the leading edge of the aft door post--
an inch or two forward of where my BAS seat's leading edge is.
However, I think the bench seat bottom is longer fore-and-aft,
so the backrest is at least as far back or maybe farther back than this 14-1/2" dimension.

Wow this is exactly what I wanted to see. I have been unable to get to the hangar to get the measurements since my son has had a cold and I had to pull him out of daycare. I think my mind is made up on the Lakevue seats and likely with similar cushions. Now if I do that I woudl change my seat color and this may lead me down the rabbit hole of new front seats to match..
