Infood Folding Stove

Bought the stove for 50 bucks on Amazon, very impressed for the price. Looks to be a knock off of a much more expensive one but worked great, nice quality, igniters and flexible fuel mine rather than than a fixed tube. 10,000 btu per side.

Bought this windscreen for $11, it folds up and fits in the case that came with the stove.

Re: Camping Stuff

Not sure we've ever had a broad "camping gear" thread but go for it.

Ravi's tents & shelters article still holds up: https://backcountrypilot.org/knowledge- ... ne-camping

Re: Camping Stuff

I had seen some folks on YouTube making Camp or Chuck Boxes out of interlocking tool boxes. I had this Husky set lying around so put one together, one of the toolboxes doubles has a side table for a chair or stepstool. Are there any other ideas out there for camp storage?

Now this is a thread that I will be following very closely, I'm an absolute sucker for lightweight camping gear.

Re: Camping Stuff

I fly a Maule and ever since my wife swore off sleeping on the ground, my aviation camping has been solo. That means I don't worry about light weight, or compact gear. Here's the load I took for a week on the Alvord Desert. First shot is all the gear on the hangar floor, the next shot is the same gear loaded.

And here's what I really like - breakfast next to my plane with a latte and all the trimmings.

The Aeropress coffee maker on the table is an absolute wonder. It just happens to be light weight.

I had to take the La-Z-Boy out to make room for the Traeger grill and the massage table.

Re: Camping Stuff

Anyone use one of these (or something like it)?

Last summer I traveled with a guy that had one and I was impressed. The titanium one is crazy light but kinda spendy too.

This is cool and I like the gas burner option as a back-up heat source.

I've been using the OG Firebox stove (stainless steel) for over 12 years. It's a really great stove, and in almost any location there's unlimited fuel. Lots of little sticks everywhere. We used it exclusively on our Alaska trip and cooked food for a family of 4 for 3 weeks on it. I even take it backpacking quite often. Even though it's heavier than a small gas stove, you don't have to carry fuel or worry about running out of it, which is nice. It's much more cozy and atmospheric than a gas stove too.

I have a ten gallon bear barrel that hold items I might be in need of in the event of an unforeseen overnight stay. This would be a good item to be included in it, seems a bit more accommodating in it's uses and would eliminated the need to care a liquid fuel source.

Re: Camping Stuff

The fellow I know that uses it travels in remote areas for several months, typically camping 75% of the time and he doesn't carry any other stove. Just that Firebox. I'm more of a JetBoil and dehydrated backpacking food kind of an airplane traveler, but I don't go for the long durations he does. He prefers to cook real food. I was impressed.
