No children under 12? Why not? What do they have against kids?

While I can't speak for the owners, I was there last year; I would say they have nothing against kids but instead they do have a concern for their SAFETY! Let's see; aircraft propellers, cliffs, the river, snakes, dehydration.... I'm sure you get the idea. Mix that environment with the total lack of control demonstrated by some parents and it is recipe for something bad to happen.

I have 3 kids and when they were that age we frequently took them airplane camping all over. Had to watch them like hawks around those hazards and we did. There were kids under 12 there last year and the parents exercised good control and judgement. It was a pleasure to be with them

Thanks Blackrock and Iceman. We will try not to disappoint this year. We try to be super sensitve to not be annoying to anyone else.

As previously said, Rod and the gang couldn't have beeen more welcoming of our kids. In fact, she was ready to turn the generator on and set them up with cartoons in their house. We didn't want to impose and be under foot since I knew they had a lot of work to do. Just do as has been stated: keep an eye on them and make sure they behave, stay safe, and stay out of other peoples' hair.

your kids are great to have around... I've watched them grow up , sort of, but it seems every time we run into each other you have added another... you guys DO know what causes that don't you...?????

How did they turn out? I sent the info down to them that they requested but never heard from them that they got it. What is the design like?

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

Thanks Iceman. I can assure you that this will be the last new member of the family that we'll have to introduce to our BCP friends! Any more and I'll never be able to afford my own plane! :D

Gary:

Add another person to the roster. My wife will be joining me. Sign us up for bkfst, bbq and dinner.

Also, Jim & Vicki Hollis told me they would be joining the event.

Re: Caveman Fly In 2012

Just to get people excited about the fly-in coming up, here is the video we made from last weeks trip down to Caveman Ranch. It's more of a travelogue, but there is still some cool stuff for pilots in there I think.

Re: Caveman Fly In 2012

Time for the excuses to start rolling in...I'll start

We had to shuffle some dates for a vacation which now puts us getting back just a few days before the fly-in. Then I have to float Hell's Canyon the weekend after the fly-in; it's my anniversary and my wife wants to float Hell's for it. I really want to make the fly-in but I'm not sure if I can make it work. We will see [-o<
