Re: Caveman Spring Flyin 2011 May 13-15

Gary,

Is there room for another couple?? We're out of Ogden UT and camped at Caveman / Tangri-La last April, great spot to camp and base out of.

Thanks,

Ye John
Lotsa room. guessin you already did the release. If not, do that. Be nice to know if ya want any b'fasts. Other than that, just show up and have some fun.

When I went to the Negrito flyin w/the NM guys they had a couple guys playin music there, and they did a great job. Lotta fun. I was talkin to a guy tonight about doin that at Caveman. Anyone interested in that?

Gary,

Sounds good, sorry about the B-Fasts, we would like two each, Sat & Sun. (John & Laura)

Did the Release & Insurance with Rod last year, the music sounds like a great idea, as long as you-all can sing along..........we can't!!

It's on the calendar and I'll talk to Dee and see if it is a go. We sure had a great time last year and, if we can do it, I'm sure we'll try to come again. We'll be camping again and I'll have to let you know about breakfast.

Thanks for putting it together Gary!

Ahhh Drat!, My apologies Gary, but I am not going to make the Caveman Flyin. Hopefully I'll be able to meet everyone at JC.

Thanks for invite. I just spent some time looking at last years info and the Ranch/Lodge website as you suggested and it looks great. Count me me in for two people weather permitting. A room if one is available.

Here's my little video from last years BCP Caveman fly-in. The backcountry in Utah offers some spectacular flying! I had a full trip report typed up, but I think that's floating around somewhere in cyberspace.

Awesome video Matt! Well if any NW guys need a partner I am. Currently, not having a plane is a tough obstacle to over come :-)

I feel bad because Matt did a great job of writing a TR for the site that never launched. Here is a screenshot of the full report. It's not possible at this time to present it as HTML. Once loaded, click once to zoom to 1:1.

http://www.backcountrypilot.org/gallery/albums/userpics/10003/mountainmatt-caveman2010-tripreport.jpg

It will be available on the new website when it launches as an article...just maybe not the most recent. :P

It looks like there will be four planes in our group...six people..one plane to camp, two or three rooms including mine Gary. Two planes from SNY, two planes from GXY..the same folks who tried to make it in Sept.
