Well, good news/bad news. Dee says I can go, but I have to find someone to go with me to split gas costs. So, hopefully I'll have a taker or two!

I have to do the same but I'm hoping to take the plane I'm going to buy.

Will the snow and rain your getting have any implications for the flyin?

Re: 4th Annual High Sierra Fly-in Oct 24-27

We have not had much precip really. Maybe a 1/4 inch of snow at my house here at 7500'. Were going to go into our Indian summer now. Long range weather models look good.

Flew the north circuit today and then went for my annual. Fired up for some flying!

Don't even think of not coming down Rob! :D [-X this will be a great time you don't want to miss...

Me and my celebrity passenger plan on it. Now if NW Oregon weather will cooperate. Fingers crossed.

Cheers...Rob

Ha! I'm excited. Leaving the extra undies and guns behind so I can bring video gear.

We are getting really close to our Fly-in!

Seems like we have a very good turn out coming if the weather cooperates!

We have a lot of fun things planned. Great spots to fly out and visit with landings very easy up to the very challenging.

In a week or two we will post final details for the planned events. In the meantime, both Grant and Court (professional photographers) have made this flyer for us in the event you would like to see you plane flying around the desert! Have a look. These guys are very good!

Re: 4th Annual High Sierra Fly-in Oct 24-27

Good news here!

WE PICKED UP A FUEL SPONSOR!

For those of you attending the fly in, Carson City airport will be offering a significant discount for all 100LL fuels sold to pilots attending our event!

PLUS...for the pilot flying the furthest away from his/her home base they will receive a $200 fuel tab! =D> =D>

Thank you Michael Golden and KCXP! Just another incentive for you to rally and not miss this event!

Gump your a winner just by showing up this year!

Also a bump here as we are now only 3 weeks out! I dont want to jinx it BUT...the long range weather forecast is starting to look very good for us!

T Shirts were made today. They are FREE this year!
Keg o Beer from Sierra Nevada is FREE
Fuel discount at KCXP
$200 to the furthest flyer
Pumpkin drop contest (bring a pumpkin or two or three...)
We have lots of Tannerite (Grant is bringing 30# of the stuff)... #-o
Grant has a new and much larger flame thrower for night time fun
All firewood will be there for you
Skeet thrower will be in place for you
Saturday nights dinner has a lot of meat (just bring anything else you want to throw on the grill).

Dont forget a good chair for the fireside chat. Far to often people go to bed early! This is really the last fly-in of the year! Hoping that many of you make the journey!

Re: High Sierra Fly-in Oct 24-27 - FUEL SPONSOR - KCXP

SOOOOOOOOOOOO if I can get a few days off, I could fly to Anchorage in the 210, Take a smoker home, then bring the Wilga down, Think that would work to win the 200 bucks?? #-o
Naw, probably just have to try for next year!!
Sounds like a good time for sure, =D>
Would be a good place to let some of you touch off the 50-140, If you could hit the tannerite you could have smoke and explosion on both ends of the shot!! [-X  It'll clean most of the gravel and clear all the rattlesnakes and brush most :^o all the way to the tannerite
ENJOY

At the risk of sounding like I shouldn't be allowed to fly, I couldn't figure out how to add our #'s to the count. Looks like there will be five of us (people/planes) joining the fun. Do we need to do more than show up?
