Low and Slow to Osh starts in 13 days!

Really looking forward to our trip, Low and Slow to Oshkosh here in two weeks.

We were given this old Lincoln at Blue Earth Minnesota while we tucked our planes into the hanger to avoid the big T Storm that was chasing us. What a trip is was with these guys. 13 days out and counting and we're doing it all over again.

Feel free to join us!

West coast crew departs on the 19/20th

Re: Low and Slow to Osh starts in 13 days!

Is that an antenna poking out of your shorts or are you happy to be flying? :D

I'm flying back on the 24th....in the company Airbus to ORD. :| Rent a car from there and tenting it at Camp Scholler with a bunch of friends. My first Oshkosh. I ordered a Bearhawk 4 place QB kit a week or so ago and am looking forward to shopping for cool airplane parts.

Have a good trip.

I wish I could make it. I haven't been to OSH since 97. I really want to go back. I flew in to Truckee this morning and saw your wagon on the ramp. Cool airshow but I couldn't stay.

That Lincoln probably has a big enough trunk I can set in my chair. Looks pretty full up front.

Re: Low and Slow to Osh starts in 13 days!

My mechanic promised my airplane this coming Monday, though I'm expecting Tuesday. After nearly 4 months, I'm going to have to learn to fly all over again, so I have a BFR/IPC scheduled for the following Monday, July 18th, and then plan to leave for OSH on July 22nd. Getting anxious to get back in the air!

Hey BCPers. We should try and gather during the daily Airshows. The STOL guys have front row parking and good spot to watch. If you like to meet old and new friends look for updates here and on Facebook ( Slow and low to Oshkosh) I'll post a Google map and GPS coordinates where we are. Cheers Rob

Hey Pete. See you there.

Walt AKA Zeinthguy and me are sharing a motorhome in the ultra-light area. Right next to where the STOL guys are going to fly.
Shoot me a text when you get to Oshkosh. *5zero3seven2zero1nine1seven*

I can't make it to OSH for the whole week- but I can probably squeeze out to meet up if you have an overnight within a few hours. Are you coming through colorado, wyoming, nebraska, or south dakota for an overnight? Spearfish, SD? Hot Springs, NE?

Can you post your intended route?

Re: Low and Slow to Osh starts in 13 days!

Too busy working, you guys tear it up, and watch out for those huge (2K+) antennas they have back there! Apparently they don't have convinent mountains to put them on like we western pilots are used to, so they build them super high. One outside of Sioux Falls nearly had my name on it.......

Haha! Forgot about the highlander. Maybe we should go down there and help him fly all of them over Soy...
