Yeah, we are watching it too. Looks like the Wasatch is going to be wet all weekend.

Had to by a ticket on the big bus last night to SLC. Weather had ELko blowing 45 yesterday with higher gusts. Snow forecasted today and the rest of the week for me. Sure wish I could of made it!

I've got a feeling that your plans are not going to be the only ones that Mother Nature is going to monkey with! :x

Forecast for GJT has been steadily improving all week. May be cloudy, but the chance of rain has dropped quite a bit.

Looks like I'm going to get to bring the SQ-2 down to play. I look forward to seeing everyone who can make it.

Still planning on leaving Thursday afternoon, meeting msorense in Ashland, then stopping at Red bluff to pick up a friend then stopping somewhere west of Ely Nevada for the night, then on to Mack on Friday morning, if the weather shapes up

Long range forecast looks pretty iffy from Denver area over the Divide on Friday. Still hoping to make it with my SQ-2. We'll see...

Looking forward to the fly-in! Darin - I'm first in line for a SQ ride!

Hope the weather cooperates. Forecast looks a lot better now than it did a couple of days ago.

The more you want to go the more likely the weather won't cooperate. Don't push the weather boys have fun.

Well I made it over the divide and the worst of the terrain only to be stopped by low clouds and snow showers. Currently roughing it in Eagle. I'll get there as soon as I can.Image

Nope. Not going to make it unfortunately. I hope to at least visit out that way in a few weeks and get a few days in camping and exploring.

How was it going over Rollins? It looks like it is building up that way but tough to say where from the ground...

It was glass smooth. With a 8kt tailwind pushing me uphill. Had no trouble getting all the way up to 14k and went through RMNP. There were some low clouds right at Milner but I still could have gone through over them. Sometimes you gotta go up for a look see and be ready to turn back.

I poke my nose around Estes almost every flight the last few months to no avail. I am glad it was smooth without any drama for you!

Radar is showing the rain moving quickly north without much behind it. It will clear up for you soon (I hope!).

( I meant Milner btw, not Rollins. Glad you knew what I was talking about rather than what I was actually saying! :) )

Blue Sky over Mack at the moment. The grass is in great condition and all activities are still a "GO." We are really looking forward to everyone's SAFE arrival.

Low ceilings and rain along the Wasatch. Unfortunately, it looks like we won't be making it. Really bummed but we need the rain. Just wish it had picked midweek to do it. Fly safe everyone!
