We are looking forward to meeting you and Lynn. We are excited about hosting our first fly in.

I am going to take some time this weekend to measure my parking area, I'm guessing it is 2-3 acres, so I can figure out how many planes we can accomodate. I have also been looking at a few spots along the sides of the runway that could be cleared to create a few camping spots that would give you a back country kind of feeling.

I will be talking with some of the neighboring turf airport owners about possibly having some fly outs to there private fields. Possibly a poker run.

You can camp under your wing or pick a quiter spot on the property.

We are less than a month away from our get together. I have really dropped the ball, I shouldn't let life get in the way of recreation but for some reason I like to have my bills paid on time.

Give us some feed back on meals, events and any other stuff you guys like to do.

I can set up a tour of some local grass field airports if you would like.

For you Civil War buffs, you can schedule a private guided tour of Gettysburg and use one of our airport cars to take the tour. We did it a couple of months ago and it was wonderful.

PS, The airport cars are junky but run well

I'll try to come down if I can.

I know that Pete and I are still interested. I don't want to speak for Pete, but I'm sure he feels much like I do. What we eat is unimportant, burgers and dogs are fine. Don't need anything special to do either. It'll be good to get together with some new people with a common interest. We're both pretty flexible and easily entertained.

I enjoyed hearing your story Cliff. If I lived closer I would love to head over for the weekend, but it's not in the cards for me. I have no doubt that it'll be a great weekend for all that show up.

We have been figuring things out. We plan to have an open grill dinner on Friday evening, We figure some of you may show up later in the day Friday. Basically throw what ever meat on the grill you want to, we will provide burger, dogs and buns, you can bring what ever you want. Saturday morning Joyce and crew will be making pancakes and sausage. Lunch will be open grill again (you cook it, you eat it), Saturday evening Joyce will serve pulled pork, baked beans and other goodies. Joyce said she will throw something together for Sunday morning breakfast. If you want to bring your own food there will be grills available for you to use any time you want. We have a few coolers and a couple of refrigerators available for you to store food if you don't have room in your plane. There will also be bottled water and other refreshments available at all times.

We have domestic lite beer on hand, if you want something else you can make a beer run in one of the airport junkers into town which is only 1.5 miles away.

There are some cool grass strips around here that you can visit, I can post a list if anyone wants that info.

Friday and Saturday night we will have a fire complete with marshmellows.

You can set up a tent or sleep in our 16' X 36' Army tent.

Make shift showers are in the works

We are animal lovers, You are welcome to bring your dogs if it is behaved and won't kill our 20 pound cats.


The airport designator is PA72 Circle W Airfield. The runway is 2700' in length with trees at both ends. It is published as 2200' because of the trees. There are yellow runway markers with triple markers at the displaced thresholds. Runway headings are 15 and 33. There is no taxi way so you have to back taxi when landing on 33. We use 122.9 for communication. You will need to bring your own tiedowns. There is no fuel available here but York KTHV is only a few miles away.

Crzyivan 13, I look forward to finally meeting you, bring some of your Ohio friends. My wife, Joyce is from Ohio and we still have a place in Andover at Pymatuning lake. She is an Ohio girl and I love going out there to relax.

Any one else coming? We hope to see a lot of new faces. Our local gang will be here, Lots of cool planes and great local pilots.
