Oh yeah and Tom in Powers is the man!! He loves people flying in and goes above and beyond help you in anyway need be. Go spend some money in Powers, they sure could use it.

We went walking around town, and while we were walking we went to the local thrift shop. I got the Nike sweatshirt embroidered for the Sunriver resort. I know the sweatshirt was at least $40-$50 new Sunriver. I got it for one dollar. Also found a medium weight fleece lined jacket from REI, got it for one dollar. It was even my size. Then we hit a couple of garage sales and the wife found a book to Alaska on a tractor 9500 miles in 126 days. We were down on the beach with our fire going, and two other people walked up and ask us if we had paper to help them start their fires. I wanted to say why do I look like a retired fireman. Then we got hungry so I called in an order for pizza and drove across the street in the Jeep and picked it up. Then we set by the fire looking at the ocean eating pizza.Image

Down here at Pacific City this weekend. As some of you may know the Pacific City runway is only 1800 feet long. A turbine 207 taking off with five jumpers and the pilot forgot to use his flaps, and just barely cleared the trees at the end of the runway. Needless to say he had a rough time getting anybody back in the airplane with him after that.

I wonder if that's the same turbine 207 that's been hauling jumpers this summer at Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island? I saw they were using two 182's this last weekend and the 207 wasn't there. There can't be too many of those things around.
