Rescheduled for 5/8/2009 - BCP NE Fly-In - Sciota, PA (50PA)

RESCHEDULED! The weather Gods have spoken! May 8 - 10!

Here it is, a Backcountry Pilot Fly-In for the Northeast. May 8th through May 10th (Friday afternoon through noon Sunday) at Pegasus Airpark (50PA) located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania!

There is plenty of room for fly-in camping on the 2,700 ft grass strip. There will be a 20 x 40 canopy tent, tables, chairs, running water, and porta-potties. We will have at least two propane grills for use. Large coffee pots will be kept hot.

Saturday will be scenic tours, by air of course, of the Delaware Water Gap and local area. Maybe a quick trip to Grimes Airpark to see the Golden Age of Flight hangar museum. There is lots to see!

Saturday night will be "Movie Night" in a hangar with a projector and sound system. Did we mention the cold keg of beer and popcorn? After the movies will be astronomy with a 16" telescope.

Sunday morning group breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, muffins, donuts, orange juice and coffee!

You are cordially invited! RSVP

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”

I just put the date in my calendar. Will show up with my Maule and a 180 owned by a flying buddy.

Skystrider, thanks it is on my calendar. Maybe if weather works out, we'll show up with some tail draggers.

Hey neighbor - sounds great! I'll be there for sure during the day. Only thing is, Pegasus is all of 20 miles from my home base (22N) but only three miles from my house. Damn - I may have to drive?!!

I've been hoping to get a hangar there for some time - would be great to be so close to my airplane. Look forward to meeting you.
