Skystrider, so it is a go, rain or shine this week???

The way I read it, we need to feed ourselves, but can use your grills, except on Sunday morning?? Did I read once you had the beer?? If we need to bring our own we can do that too.

I am planning on showing up, but maybe not until Saturday. I may have two extra planes in tow if everything works out. PG

I am thinking that it is a go this week end. I managed to push it back once and keep everything organized but I would be pushing my luck to do it again.

I have dinner lined up for Saturday night and it includes barbeque sandwiches, burgers, dogs, assorted salads, chips, pies, soda, etc. Oh yeah, Bud and Bud Light on tap! I have two grills for anybody that wants to cook. Popcorn for the movies. Sunday morning breakfast is scrambled eggs, french toast, bacon, sausage, & orange juice. Coffee, lots of coffee! I am trying to lose weight. Don't make me eat all those cherry and lemon meringue pies myself!

I hope everyone can make it but as always, fly safe. That is the first priority.

Hey Steve,

We are ready to go anytime on Friday. I will be setting up that morning. Nothing special planned for Friday night except pizza and sitting around the fire. I will bring my 16" telescope in case we have some clear skies. That is always fun!

Rod, My Garmin 696 POS is broken after 2 months. Today I tried putting in "50PA" in my 2 year old Bendix King pannel mount and it says there is no such place. Has the identifier changed or what is the next closest airport and which way?? John

What, you gotta have a gps tell you where to go? ? Lost your Texaco road map? Bet you can find a pipeline that will get you there

John, 50PA is still good but is not in many GPS units. Since your coming from the west go to 29N (Arner Memorial). The runway points East to 50PA (Pegasus). Fly over Beltzville Lake (orientated east/west) on the same heading and you will see Rt 209 running along the lake on the south side on top of the ridge. Stay on 209 (figure of speech ) and it will go through a little town, named Brodheadsville. Pegasus is just on the other side of the town to the left (north) of 209 running in the same direction. From 29N to 50PA is perhaps 10 minutes. We fly left downwind over 209 when landing 27.

We still on for this weekend? Looks like the weather for Saturday AM will be IFR to MVFR, so I'm planning an arrival in the early afternoon.

It might be T&G for us buckeyes weather wise. Forcast winds gusting 30 to 50 mph tomorrow. Greg and I are making the final discission at 11:00 am tomorrow. We'll miss your fly outs for sure, but maybe we can drink some beer and watch movies???

Just found out that Arner Memorial is 22N, not 29N.
