I'm pretty new to BCP but if the weather is favorable I would love to fly down from Maine. I look forward to meeting all the members that attend. It will be the first real cross country in my Pacer.

Re: May at 50PA

Welcome Steve! See you just joined BCP. Been a lurker for awhile? And what kind of plane is The Blue Dog?[/quote]

Just got back into flying, so I'm new to the blog and The Blue Dog; 06 A-1B Husky. Hope to have May 1 weekend off and make it happen.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Tom, Welcome! Did you get your Rotorway flying? If I can make it to the flyin I'll most likely take my 172. As soon as I can get it out of my strip up north I'm going to be installing a O-360.

Skystrider, I just realized that I can't make your fly-in. We have tickets for the New Orleans Jazz fest both that weekend and the previous weekend. Darn, I was looking forward to meeting you guys. I'll try and send a few buckeyes your way though. PG

I'm sure Rod would very much welcome you b1x4nqb. I'm sure it will be a great time.

Hey b1x4nqb what kind of plane are you flying there?

Wayne,

It's a Highlander. I finished building it around Thanksgiving, but then again.....is it ever really finished?

Where do you fly out of?

Hi Mauleflyer,

We will have two porta-potties (most important!), a wash stand, running water (hose), at least two propane BBQ grills, a refrigerator (stocked with soda), a 20 x 40 ft canopy, tables, chairs, fire ring and wood, and lots of pilots and planes!

I will have an info sheet for good close airports to fly to for Saturday morning breakfast and lunch. There is also a couple of local places for subs and pizza. We will have a couple of vehicles for transportation.

Saturday night is a keg of beer and popcorn for the movies. There is a movement among a couple of the wives to cook up beef BBQ, salads, chips and deserts to supplement anything you guys bring along for dinner. I made arrangements with a local restaurant to provide a hot buffet breakfast Sunday morning.

So what do you need to bring? Yourself & a plane if your flying in  , a tent & sleeping bag would make the nights more comfortable, some of you might consider an extra set of underwear, and an expectation of a great time!

Let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to meeting you!

Nick,
The rotorway is down at this time. I've been working with the Maule. I'll be helping my good friend with his Mustang II. I'm making room in the shop now and we will start the fusalage in about 3 weeks. He's wrapping up the wings and should be done with them in a couple of weeks. I will be working on the rotorway this summer. I need to move fast as the price of the blades appear to be on the rise. I look forward to seeing you at the fly in! Rod's event will make a great start to the flying season. I have to complete my annual then im off to the races. Take care and I look forward to seeing everyone there.

Hi Paul,

I seen the Highlander plane at Oshkosh this past summer looks like a great plane. What engine are you using?

I'm based at PTW (pottstown-limerick) and where are you based?

I send you a PM the other day.

Somehow I missed your post back to me - sorry!

I live in Brodheadsville behind the Post Office (on Rodenbach). Where about are you?

I've seen your Maule flying around off my back deck once in a while. Can't help but look up every time I hear a plane. I've seen you several times and also have often seen a blue and white - what is it - Champ I think? Then there's this bi-plane that likes to fly upside down. Can't imagine what that feels like. But honestly, I'm not so sure I'd like it!

Looks like you're going to have a great turnout for this shindig. Might be just a little cool - but hey - that's what the beer is for!

Look forward to seeing everyone.

Shoot Terry! Go to the end of Rodenbach and make a left, then a right on Pennell, and I am at the top of the hill! I could skateboard to your house if I could somehow slow down enough to make that left at the bottom of the mountain!

Welcome LW and TJ Carr!

By my count we are now up over 25 aircraft and somewhere around 35 plus people! Mmmmm....might be a good idea to order a full keg of beer! #-o

Eight weeks to go!
