Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Flew the new Skywagon with a buddy and two kayaks up to Salida dodging thunderstorms. Had a great day boating the Royal Gorge, dinner in Salida while it stormed, then back to Durango via Rio Grande Reservoir and the Pine River, in clearing, sunset.

Awesome.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Just flew around the Treasure Valley and down through the Owyhee's with two of my friends. Landed at Owyhee Res. State Airport and saw Skybob's plane parked there. I didn't see anyone around, even at the Hilton (I didn't walk down to see, though) :-k . Was fun though. A little bumpy and warm.

Made my weekly flight to Skagway but this time instead of one or two humpback whales there was a whole flock of killer whales, perhaps 20 of them. Fun to watch :D

Re: Where did you fly today?

Today I flew backseat after "ballasting" my bird with fellow Husky owner/pilot/old pal Bumper. Pretty good vis except forward thanks to rather large head/hat combo. We flew a couple stop and go's and then on to Yerington, Nevada for breakfast at Big Fannies; not bad!

That is a cool shot, Onthegas, even if it has Bumper's head in it. ;)

Re: Where did you fly today?

Hi Low Rider,

Yerington's new Hangar Cafe has good breakfast, and lunch too, but rather limited selection. Fuel price is .35/gal cheaper than Minden. I have heard that Morning Thunder in Quincy changed ownership and that there were no more cuties working there. Is it actually shutdown? Hope not...
