Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

Got home a few hours ago from 3 day trip. Flew the Chevy to the hospital with my pregnant wife and came home today with this in the baggage compartment...

My new son, born Wednesday! Now my 4yr old daughter will have someone to play with. Dang, now I really need a plane with 4 seats!

My bride and I took the 701 into Mexican Mountain yesterday, 1st time. It was lovely, although the weeds are trying to overtake the strip in places. I'm still working on coming up with a camera mount that doesn't shake, so the video is not as nice as what some of you post.

Red Creek's one of the best places Flagstaff BCP's go to get out of the wind and cold 6 months of the year. Nice shots of a great spot!

Troutdale to Hood River, Oregon. I think this was the last 90+ day of 2011 Went to the WAAM fly in. This is a 3 day event. The Friday night pilot party look pretty fun. Next year it is going on my to do list. The museum is really great too. Grass runway, grass parking, bonfire, beer. Yep on the list.

I've noticed that cattle aren't esp graceful or careful-- I'd be pretty nervous about them being driven by so close to the airplanes. Any livestock rash incidents?

Re: Where did you fly today?

A few of my favorites from a circumnavigation of Montana's Flathead Lake this weekend:
Your very own island would be pretty cool 8) Image
I've been watching this place go up over the last few years, on it's own pennisula. I wonder what kind of boats they keep in the indoor boat "hangar"?Image
Same place, a front view:Image
This is probably the caretakers shack, plus enough room for a few more boats  Image
The lengths, literally, some of the shoreline people go to for direct access to their boats, I'm not sure if this is a people or boat mover, maybe both?Image
A great place to keep your hot tub.Image
I flew the entire route over two days (early AM) at 45 mph, with the window wide open and the heater on, the second day listening via my Sirius to live coverage of the 911 events, which made for a weird mix of emotions :D  I also hit a few of the bars later near Kalispell, the gravel bars that is!
