Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Excellent editing. Keep up the good work.

Great work, Matt. Your music fit the material perfectly, and I really liked the time-lapse effect with the shadows.

Me too Rob. I want you to strip your 170 then come strip my Luscombe. :D THAT's not going to happen eh? Still, I really like the looks of it.

Flew the last few days, record temperatures around the Susitna Valley and Anchorage area. Flying in the morning is of course less "Thermally" and turbulent.

Here is a short clip leaving my cabin strip heading over to Skwentna on Saturday for the Flyin and STOL competition. It is a little slow accelleration as the strip was soft and the Bushwheels were "squishing" in the surface a few inches.

That is one nice looking 180 '55! Man I want one.
The baby bushes are awesome in the sand, and most every other place. I've really enjoyed having mine.

Thanks skinner!
Crazy soft on both sides. Wind was howlin 25+ so I had to back taxi.Little shorter than looks in pic. Was barely able to turn around cause brakes are shot. Was hard to get the tail up to swing out over the mud and water and stay put. Was almost one of those "this is cool...how do I get outta here.."

Stopped at the Scofield airstrip tonight in Utah. 7700ft and nice cool air. Strip is a little overgrown but not bad for 8.50s.

Re: Where did you fly today?

These are some photos from Moose Creek last weekend. We had six planes initially and then Idahomauledriver and his lovely bride joined us for a total of 7 planes. The Bearhawks were outnumbered since we only had 3 of those along; osoloco, Maverick, and me. geopilot was there too in his C-182.

As nice as MC is, the people are really what make the trip so special.

Whoah, that is really cool. Any snakes in that pool? I remember finding a cool image of somewhere in Texas, and a friend said it's prob full of water moccasins or whatever nasties you guys have down there. I like my Oregon swimming holes where the worst thing you'll find is a crawdad. :)
