Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

This morning Bryan, Justin, and I flew up to the "West Circuit" to have some fun. There was a cloud deck hanging out over lake Berryessa but it was still plenty high enough to sneak under.

A new friend took me for a spin is his IO-550 powered 180. Did a lap from Lake Hood to Bold strip and back. What an absolute blast!

Local flight. It was interesting to say the least. Glad it was on friendly ground!

Good spot to breakdown. It was like being at the parts store. Bolt sheared off that holds the tailwheel on. Luckily no damage! Working on a video of it all.

Oh no!! Was this during taxi, or takeoff/landing?

Nice photo. Are you seeing that 8.5" of ice in South Central? It's been such a mild fall in interior I'm curious how the ice is running compared to an average year.

Re: Where did you fly today?

Sunday morning it was 10 degrees out making ice like crazy. Should have close to a foot by the coming weekend. Ice is better ths year without snow cover. Time wise about average, usualy good by Thanksgiving.
