Re: Where did you fly today?

Need to work on some cooling issues (looks like a fairly easy fix), but other than that, she flies great and is very comfy! Rigged hands off right out of the chute. I'm not sold on the toe-brake mod though... The Pmags and rollers really make this a smooth running O-360.

Bedliner on the top cowl... 8)

Re: Where did you fly today?

The weather isn't always beautiful, and the destinations aren't always fun. I had to fly down to Portland to take my aging mom to the hospital. It was a scheduled procedure, but at her age the anesthesia alone is scary. Speaking of scary, the weather was really iffy as well. Still, 90 minutes of flying beat 4 hours in the car each way. Even a Maule is faster than I-5. Here's what the day looked like:

Here's what it looked like heading out over the south end of Puget Sound

Another shot of the vicinity

This is what the Olympics looked like on the way home. The turbulence on the lee side of the mountains was miserable.

One good thing was the clear optical glory that was visible as I flew above the clouds in accordance with the regs...

It was one RT flight I was glad to have end. Now I'm looking forward to some pleasure flying in CAVU conditions!

Brett, I thought you were going this year? Did something pop up at work?

Great video! Hoping for weather to be on my side for Mack. Calling for snow, rain and high winds in the Sierra here this week and next. Fingers crossed.
