Hey Rob,
Say hi to Stephen and Dave with the Pacers for me. Stephen is from Lopez island and has a maroon Pacer with a bunch of mods.

I kept thinking I could pull it off and get up there, but I guess I just lied to myself. Have a great time in JC.

Re: 2010 Annual BCP Fly-In set - Johnson Creek 25-27 June

I was thinking that JC would be a great place to try out my first real annual in the 175 but it wasn't to be. The FAA inspector that was going to sign off my new alternator conversion went on vacation so we sent it to another one. He supposedly did it and sent it off and then he went on vacation. Well it has never showed up. Next year for sure!

You guys have a great time and be careful.

I also have huge regrets about not being there this year. Hopefully the JC faithful will regale us with pictures and tales upon their return!

6am comes a little early Sunday morning at JC, Emmit and Avid just took off. Potluck last night was top notch and some great people to swap stories with. Now the bittersweet part comes with packing up and heading home.

Fly safe everyone

Good Times at Johnson Creek

Hello Backcountry Pilots,
It was great to meet a lot of people from the site in-person for the first time. The flight to the Flying B for breakfast was the highlight for me. "Joe" aka: Coyote Ugly sat down and knocked out a song on the piano. I wish I had some talent too.

Rob, Matt and I then flew up to the Lower Loon and the hot springs. Can you say "SNAKE"?

Good Times!

I was talking to Beverly this afternoon and she paid your group some very nice compliments. Not only do you make things easier for Paul and Beverly, but also for the Idaho Dept of Aeronautics. If we can all maintain your (BCP) standards the Backcountry will continue to be available in the future. Way to go BCP!

Yeah, Rob "called" us all to dinner, then a bit later "called" us all to GIT! (or maybe telling us it was story time) Good times. A bit damp on Friday evening. A bit foggy Saturday morning. It's not always good to get an early start.

I was so proud of my self getting up at first bird chirp and being 2nd airplane off the runway then dumb enough to stay up longer than I should have. Lesson: Given a choice between a definite place to land and one that might clear up soon... take the definite place to land and don't doddle.

Thanks everyone for a great time. We made it back safe and sound after a quick stop at my parent's place in southern Idaho for a BBQ. It was great to see everyone there and to meet so many new people. Looking forward to next year!

PILOTS

I think that we should give a special thank you to the many people that made this fly-in as much fun as it was.

Kitty and Mark deserve our thanks for setting up and organizing the potluck. I think the food was excellent. They, once again, did a great job. If they feel good about it and can make it, maybe they will consider doing it again for us next year.

Bev and Paul also continue to keep Johnson Creek perfect for all of us. Paul was out most every day cutting firewood. They work very hard to make us comfortable. I will miss them if they do not come back next year.

Zane deserves thanks for this website which made it all possible. He also did very well at the potluck.

The State Of Idaho pays for all of this. Nothing is really free in this world. It must cost quite a bit to keep the Johnson Creek Airport like it is. Please support Idaho and spend as much money as you can afford here to help to continue to justify this expenditure.

Rob also did much to help with this fly-in. Maybe you could get a loud whistle next year instead of the gun.

There are others maybe you could also think to thank.

I think it was another great fly-in. Thanks everyone for doing it without any serious accidents.
