You know, I have for the longest time wanted to mount a paintball gun on my strut with a trigger control in the cockpit. That would add a whole new dimension to coyote chasing. Or cow buzzing for that matter.

Damnit!! Pick up an HD version! How can you ever expect to make it onto the Youtube/Vimeo channels with standard definition footage!?? :)

Re: 2010 Annual BCP Fly-In set - Johnson Creek 25-27 June

I know, I know. The problem with the Contour HD or Go Pro version is two fold: 1) the strobing of the prop is just too distracting (have not had good luck with ND filters either, and 2) no ability to remotely start and stop recording.

You really need a true video camera (not the CCD type) for Pilot POV or Tailcam work. Problem is, I don't have one, and don't want to spend the money, and they are big to put on the tail.

I could get away with the Contour on the tail as you don't see the prop much, but that's the only good place I can use it. If I could remotely start/stop it (without cracking the case and doing some mod to do it) I would probably just buy it.

There is a possibility I will have something for JC, but not sure.

Don't worry - I'm bringing my Kodak Zi8 and will get some good ground-to-air stuff, and I can stick it out on my strut for some "to the right of the pilot POV" stuff.

I don't know about hangar trash, he has got to get his airplane back together. The other 180 is John, he might be able to make it but has a weddiing for his daughter first part of July in Washington DC. So odds are it will just be me and possiblly a passenger.

LOT of snow the last week or so, here's behind my place not too long ago. my strip is just a couple miles away and 4 K lower. People are still hiking and skiing this, since the ski area is closed for the year. The first shows a good landing area for when I get the skis back on, it is all rock in the summer, the snow sure beautifies things!

Just a little to the south, this is the backside of the peak in my avatar, and is some of the best back country skiing and snowboarding around, too steep to land  and no place on top long enough either, I've looked it over good this winter while 'boarding and it ain't going to happen. Not without brakes on the skis anyway.Image
