We will be launching from OGD around 1400 on Friday for Mack Mesa, then down to Caveman just in case anyone else is heading down around the same time.

How fast are you? I might be interested in joining. Leaving U42 around then. I'm a solid 87kts. Haha!

LOP I true around 130 mph. Still be fun to make contact. If the wx is nice, I might jump on the backside of the Wasatch and go just north of Strawberry. I'm guessing you'll head toward Provo? Let's still try to hook up on 122.75. I'll keep you updated on our departure time.

Re: 2013 Caveman Ranch Luau fly-in - May 24-26

Well,, finally made it out to Caveman. They are doin some great stuff. Everyone is pretty excited. Sofar wx is lookin real good.
Stopped over to Rockland Ranch and they are 100% on board. The road/airstrip is in great shape. They are going to be part of the poker run. They will be giving tours to anyone interested. They will give a tour at 9AM and another at 10AM, so be there and ready at that time if you want a tour.
They will also be making sandwhichs/desert for those wanting to buy a lunch there. If you are interested in the lunch please say so on this thread so they have an idea of how many sandwiches to make. They will be monitoring this thread for a head count. I was told today they have over 100 folks living in the rock now. Several new houses since I was there last.
Assuming you will be landing towards Moab, when you get to the end of the road, take a right, quite a bit of parking along that road, but get off the road so others can get in/out. Also watch for prickly pear.

I also told them that some may be willing to give some rides to the kids, so, they would enjoy that if you feel like offering.
Thanks Anna

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

Also, I have had a medioker at best response to the raffle. Have a few nice prizes, but no where near as much a I was hoping. Mostly due to my lack of time to put into it, so, if any of ya have anything you would like to donate/bring/offer to make it more fun, sure be appreciated.

Re: 2013 Caveman Ranch Luau fly-in - May 24-26

Hi John
The poker run is Sat. morning. So anyone can stop over there anytime in the morning to pick up a card and a bag of lunch if they want. But we thought planned times would be better for the tours. So, they will do a tour at 9AM and another at 10AM.
Great of ya to take the time to give some rides
Thanks Gary

Ladd, I'm planning to be at the BBQ at Mack on Friday--just in case you're counting heads.

Sorry I couldn't make the fly-in, but looking forward to catching up this weekend.

Good reminder there.

Ladd, I hope to be there Friday....if I can show enough leg on the runway at Caveman to catch a ride over that is
