Hmmm...not sure I can believe all of those temps. It says New York is -78! And since I just landed here, I know it's a balmy 46. [emoji1]

Thank goodness we've got 5 months for you guys to thaw out! Brrr!

I'd love that! We would love to meet up with any locals we can. And even better to get some guided tours! Thanks for chiming in!

Re: AK 2017 Trip: Poll

I have been planning on a trip for sometime, but will have to wait another year or two. A group fly would be awesome. I have a 2000 ft grass airstrip with lots of camping room at my place. About 30 NM east of Edmonton, if you guys end up over in this area late in the day.

AK 2017 Trip: Poll

It's getting close! I called today to set up my fuel at McCarthy using the number I found on here for Fireweed Fuel. A voicemail for Rokon Services out of Copper Center answered. Does anyone know if that's the same outfit? Nizina, I think you posted it. Can you confirm please?

We will be leaving the first week of June. I really hope we get to see many of you that are scattered along the way. Please speak up if you'll be around and are up for a visit!

Re: AK 2017 Trip: Poll

Corey,

If you come the Alaska Highway route, plan a stop in Ft Nelson. CBL3 Gordons Field. You are welcome anytime for a pit stop or spend the night. We should be around here for June.

We should be around Ft St John first part of June, will be going to Alaska for the airmans in May. Fly this route from FSJ to Anchorage for many years with my 180, did it in the cub also. Hopefully the weather cooperates, It's snowing in FSJ today, Right now I'm in the North West Territories, Norman Wells with the 180. Will be watching to see which way you travel keep in touch. It will be an awesome trip.Time does fly bye and you will be heading north soon.

Re: AK 2017 Trip: Poll

It looks like I will have to miss your trip as I will be heading up the last week in May!! I will have an extra seat I think if someone want to ride up, will have to find their own way home as will be Sept or Oct before I get back. Weather permitting will leave Spokane area in the AM, land @ Ketchican or Wrangle for fuel (Will check price) then to Yakutat maybe for the night, then on to Anchorage.
