Re: Anyone interested in a fall flyin at Caveman Ranch???

Hey All

I stopped at Caveman on my way home from Austin yesterday. Had a nice visit with Rod, Paula, Hunter, and our good buddy Johnny

Things are looking good for the flyin. They are all looking forward to it.

Rod has also changed his address and phone #'s so make note of the changes if you want to be in touch with him. You can also go through me if it is easier for ya. Cell 702.493.0213
Address
P O Box 1705
Moab, Utah 84532

Rooms are still unimproved, and will be $30/night. Mostly offering you protection from the weather, and the option of not bringing a tent.

Tent camping will be $20/night.

Rob will do a dinner again if there is any interest, $25/head.

I will still do the pancake, sausage, juice breakfast for $8/head Sat. and Sun mornings if there is any interest.

Rod is thinking about t-shirts, still has some lft from the spring flyin if anyone still wants one. I won't do any if he is going to. I still have some of theones I had made left too,if anyone wants one of those.

I talked to Rod on Tuesday and he said that the rooms were being remodeled and wouldn't be done for another month but presently you could stay in the lodge. He also stated that when the rooms were done that the rates were going to be about $200-$250 per night to make up for the expense of remodel. I didn't ask if that was going to be the rate for this fly-in.

Wilma... is Wilma there? (Shortfielder wants to know). :-)

I'd like to meet glidergeek to discuss gliders and mountain flying. Colorado CAP has ASK-21s, we fly at Boulder and Salida (ANK in the mountians).

Ya I'm stoked about the dual fly in mack and caveman. Macks only a 45 min flight even in a cub so be just right to hit both for a fun weekend.

Re: Anyone interested in a fall flyin at Caveman Ranch???

Gary, I'm going to try to make it. I have business travel to NM the week prior and I'm trying to get my company to approve me taking my plane. If that happens I'll swing over on my way back up to CO. Looking forward to seeing how my new engine and prop performs at the lower elevations of NM and UT.
