I'll help with firewood $$ as well. My truck will be there and with a few hands we can fetch it as well.

Float trip?!?! Yes please!

Since my thing does not go as fast as your thing, I might spend the night somewhere on the Snake or maybe Owhyee State on the way if you two want to join :)

I worked for these guys for a few summers in the early '90's http://www.cascaderaft.com. Rafting the South Fork of the Payette is a ton of fun, and should not be missed if you're inclined towards such things. I also lived right across the river from the Garden Valley strip, in my tent, for all those summers. There are amazing hot springs all around, and if the Longhorn bar is still open in Crouch, that's a must do!

If I am able to make it I plan to bing my raft as long as I can get it there. Also note on the local hotsprings, the two best ones were destroyed by the FS; Skinny Dipper and the ones up the Middle Fork Payette. There are some other good ones in the area.

Just curious. Would anyone be interested in a (free) tactical shooting course? If so, what skills would you like to learn? Movement? Positions? Active shooter response?

Cory, I am trying along with 2 other guys up here N of Spokane to get a piece of property to build a Certified 1000 yard Shooting Range that will incorporate the other types / Tactical, 3 gun, Moving Target, Cowboy and mounted Cowboy also!!

Surprising how hard it is to come up with a piece of real estate that has a good flat 1200 yard stretch with good back stop and in an area that does not bother the neighbors!!

Would be good to have such a place in the NW!! =D>

When you do George, I'll be there! It better double as a landing strip!!

I was thinking about perhaps a 3hr active shooter response handgun course. People would need to bring their carry weapon, two extra mags, a mag pouch, and 100rds of practice ammo. Dress for durability, all skill levels welcome.

The Air Corps will provide the targets, course materials and a garbage bags so we leave the range better than before the course.

If we get some interest I'll post more and bio on the instructor. But suffice it to say, if you know Wally Brown, you know he's the real deal.

I'm thinking Saturday mid day?

Count me in for the shooting course assuming you are letting Oregon hipsters participate.

I will be bring my pack raft was well. So I am in for a paddle trip! Lower field elevation means more useful load :-)

A couple dumb questions without doing the research:

Can you open carry in Idaho?
Is my WA state concealled carry permit valid in Idaho?

Can't comment on open carry but Idaho recognizes all state CCW's with the exception on Vermont and DC.
