A pretty fun weekend, other then that clogged up toilet Sunday morning (the saying "if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem" came to mind ), good to see you all as always, and best of all none of us screwed up and kept it safe.
The big takeaways for me were: it's EVAN, not IVAN, and it's a SAVANNAH, not a ZENITH! That if you have a Maule, you don't need no frigging tent. That Pops, besides being a mandolin (some sort of small stringed instrument anyway, nicely airplane sized) ) player, is also a songwriter, or at least a song re-arranger. And, that it may be more complicated, and more fun, flying with toddlers. Wow, you guys doing so, my hat is off to you, juggling chainsaws comes to mind, always impressive to see!
My workaholism got the best of me and I headed straight home, at one point well over 13 K and with a ground speed of 132 mph

My highest ever (GS), smooth as glass also. Best of all I was (using my new HackMan mixture control along with the new fuel flow indicator and GRT EIS panel) burning all of 3.2 gph at that speed and altitude.

My total burn rate for the varied weekend flying was 3.4 gph, that leaner thing really works

Big surprise, all you Lyc and Cont pilots are saying about now! So does the auto adjust of the stock Bing Rotax carbs, this device just makes it all better. Anyway, great weekend, and let's hope everyone makes it home OK (crazyIvan in particular, he's a long way from home), at least it looks like great weather right now for him.
