Flying with RobW56
Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!
Sweet. How lucky are we to have aeroplanes and places to go fly them?

Nice compilation, great year! You missed one spot though...

I talk to a lot of pilots that don't fly much since they have had kids. You have it figured out, good job!

It's not just logistics. Due to lack of sleep I mostly feel like I would kill everyone while flying in a half-stupor.
Sleep deprivation is a mofo.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
Very cool! So apparently Tapatalk doesn't like Vimeo video links. Anyway, that's the way it should be! Flying with the family! Does our hearts good seeing so many doing it now.

I finally buckled down and spent the last few weeks studying and flying a Socata Trinidad and took my commercial checkride today! I’m glad that’s out of the way.... now back to the fun stuff

Get it done! As of yesterday you don’t need to take the commercial checkride in a complex airplane, so as long as you have 10 hours of complex you can take the checkride in your 182. I was a few weeks early!

Awesome day Rob! Looks like Jackson Meadows Reservoir, Sierra Valley, and points northeast. Beautiful.

Hey Rob. Looks like a great day of flying. How do you like that 180 with dark side glass? I'm thinking of doing it on my 206 for everything behind the doors. Was going to go clear on the door windows though. But I do like the looks of that 180...

My 180 has clear windows all around, the other 180 pictured has dark tinted side windows. In my old 170 I had solar grey light tinted side windows and windshield from Great Lakes Aero that block UV rays and keep the cabin cooler. I would go that route again if I ever replace my windows on the 180.

This thread is great. It has inspired me, I think once I get the new 550 strapped to the nose of my plane I will start something like this so you guys can see the other side of the country.
